These photos show the brief working in context as tickets can be bought from your local gym or boxing club.
As an added element to the packaging, rather then print onto the packaging i printed stickers with the title 'The Greatest' on them. The theme the greatest has run through all the products so only right that its titled The Greatest. So along with the ticket, the posters, the booklet, the hard back, it also comes with a set of stickers which is shown on the packaging.

Due to lack of organisation and time left to submission i am unable to do the packaging to a professional level. I think the above is, ok, as a mock of what the packaging would look like although i have done a fairly bodged job of it. Having done it with bits of glue, paper, cellotape, sweat and blood there are quite a lot of errors, which is why i wont be handing this in for submission however it does look fairly decent in photos which im happy about. If i'd had more time left i would have put more thought into this aspect of the brief to produce a more professional product.

The outside of the packaging (seen above) has a finished quality to it. I like the clean simple look the packaging has. By being clean and simple it has a more expensive look to it rather than being covered in tacky looking graphics which a lot of similar products tend to be.
The booklet, posters and ticket all need to be packaged, hence the above. Playing with minimal ideas for cost efficiency when it comes to production. Simple use of card to separate the three products is all i feel is necessary. This brief is set to promote the tickets, when people are given 'freebies' they don't tend to expect expensive packaging hence this needs to be rather minimal.

I've printed the promo posters and i'm happy with how they've come out. When compared to the posters i looked at at the start of this brief that were old style type driven boxing promotion posters i think these work well. Following the same principles of heavy type, in line, and the use of gritty imagery, they work well as a reflection of the old style posters.

Ensuring all relevant information is key to the tickets and to also carry on the same design principles that run throughout. I think this is successful in doing that.
Ive laid out david haye on the ticket so the rip will be through the middle of him as Klitschko runs of the page. This way only half of each fighter will appear, giving a sense of mystery.
I feel that the grainy look isnt necessary on the tickets, i prefer the cleaner look, it seems more to the point as the fight will be.
Now i've started to design the tickets, again keeping focus to the fighters.
With the black grain at the top and bottom of the poster i am trying to draw focus to the white in the centre with the text. As it stands this is my final design, i need to print it and see how it looks on paper.

The poster looks better with the use of symmetry. Making sure everything is grided and even on both sides of the page. By blowing up the fighters it draws direct attention to it, which is exactly what i want as they are the most important aspect of the event.

It's become clear that having the images so large is stealing focus from the most important aspect, the information, so i've changed to portrait and reduced the size of the images so i can play with the hierarchy of the type.
As the rest of the work is branded with 'the greatest' it only seems fitting to ensure this poster continues that branded aspect.

As a first thought i played with it being landscape so i can have the images at the bottom of the page but blown up rather large. However as i'm laying out the type it doesnt seem to be working as an effective piece of design.
Following the same design principles as before with the grainy black tone on stock ive begun playing with promotional poster ideas for the actual event.

Since boxers wear wraps to protect their hands i thought it would be interesting to have a wrap around the booklet acting as a cover.
The black and white image furthers the vector grainy effect and brings more interest to the page.

Alongside the booklet a poster will join to it. Keeping it in the same stye it will present the the best heavyweights through type and a grid that keeps them in line.
I've continually put emphasis on the words i want reading louder. The quotes from the boxers are off the grid that the rest of the page is on. This is to represent rebellion. As boxing is fiesty and aggressive it seemed appropriate to have at least some of the type seem undisciplined by coming off the grid.

By increasing the scale of 'float' and 'sting' and create more emphasis on them when being read which is intentional.
If i can avoid crossing the words onto two pages i think its best i do as this can only cause more problems when binding.
Rather then plain black and white i thought i'd try induce colour however on reflection i don't think colour is necessary for the pages to be striking and convey the boxing 'in your face' effect.
